A ranunculus buttercream cake and an awesome b'day party

Buttercream cakes are popping up everywhere and I have rearing to try one so my daughter's birthday was the opportune moment to try our hands at it especially with my talented niece visiting me! My niece has all the "talent" gene from the family ;-) so she decided on an ombre iced buttercream cake.

After running to Michaels quite a bit to get all the gear we pulled off an awesome tablescape and a beautiful cake here are some pictures of the party!

Here is the amazing  iced ranunculus ombre cake she created using wilton tips.We used betty crocker colors to make this cake..

I am going to be experimenting more on these flowers! Share this post and maybe I will get convinced to post a tutorial on these..

What's a birthday party without favors so we whipped up some origami boxes from my Origami Boxes kit and created some Origami Cranes and wrote the name of guests on it's wings!

My niece is an artist too so she quickly whipped up this beautiful banner inspired by riflepaperco that we hung from the window and hung up different pink toned streamer from the curtain rods!

The table we set up using a crepe paper fold(which I have plenty lying around :-)) as a runner in the middle.

We made this wonderful rice krispy treats and scooped them onto ice cream cones.Dipped them into white chocolate and iced them! yummy to taste and looked awesome..

Here is the cake all the 3 tiers of all the lovely yummy goodness! What a party to remember.Do share and let us know your comments!
