I had an order for a white and shades of purple wedding bouquet.Charlotte wanted something like Tam's but wanted the colors reversed and here is how it turned out.I used white dahlia's,paler purple anemones,white anemones,purple ranunculus is double shades and of course the teeny forget me nots in lavender.The bouquet has purple berries interespersed in between finished off with a purple handle.The bride is making all the rest of the flowers in paper too! So it's going to be a paper wedding!!

Glamelia's date back to the 40 & 50's. Designing a glamelia is old school artistry. They are handmade from invidividual rose petals or other flower petals and crafted to look like one large bloom. The design can be tedious and time consuming but make for beautiful bouquets or corsages.

When a bride whose wedding is in Mexico ordered one I was totally thrilled I had done these in a different style for another bride a long time ago this time the order was in ivory and the brides wanted a different style.The flower measure more than 8 inches across!

Fresh Glamelia's are notorious for not lasting at all after the wedding but this one in paper would be a great keepsake after the wedding!

I had an order for an orange blossom bridal hair piece on a comb for a wedding.The comb has handmade orange blossoms wound onto a comb.Perfect for a romantic wintage themed wedding.

Incorporating orange blossoms into the bride's costume originated in ancient China where they were emblems of purity, chastity and innocence. There are few trees so prolific as the orange; it is one of the rare plants that blooms and bears fruit at the same time, thus becoming symbolic of fruitfulness.

During the time of the Crusades, the custom was brought from the East first to Spain , then to France , then to England in the early 1800's. By then, many enchanting legends had spread throughout the continent of maidens entwining fresh orange blossoms into a bridal wreath for their hair. The influence became so indoctrinated into the culture that the phrase "to gather orange blossoms" took the meaning " to seek a wife". Even America became enthralled with the bridal orange blossoms.

The 19th century bride even decorated her gown with this symbol of fertility. But it was Queen Victoria who created the vogue for the sweet smelling blossoms when she wore them in a grand wreath for her 1840 wedding, and the classic floral theme for the Victorian bride was set. she has initially ordered pink but then switched to off white and here is what turned out.The flower have handmade green open stems and paper anemone leaves each hand cut as fillers she sent me a gorgeous anemone bouquet as inspiration.Small green berries pop inbetween the anemones.She also ordered for an anemone hair piece and a matching boutonierre. An order for a bolt of blue wedding bouquet! Midnight blue and royal blue tone were requested and finally here is what I landed up with.Instead of going with one tone since it is a dark color I found tones in blue worked best.(after lot of testing :-)) Blue is definitely not easy to design around.

The brides hold navy blue dahlias,peonies,bluish purple hydrangeas,midnight blue anemone and small pale blue filler flowers (new one in my list).

The bridesmaids are wearing royal blue dress so the bride wanted white dahlia and then we decide to have blue feathers.I added a mix of 2 blue feathers and goind to pop against their dresses!

The guys wear midnight blue dahlias and the fathers get anemones.The groom is wearing a gardenia all wrapped in royal blue ribbon.

The new request was the pomander.Even though I have thought amny time to turn my large paper flowers into a pomander I somehow never got down to doing it so when Robin requested it I was pretty thrilled to try to it out.A fluffy ball of white with a blue ribbon for the mothers!

I had made this flower girl ball this a month ago but never got down to posting it.The ball is like a cute pomander but is all covered with gorgeous leaves and has a loop handle to it.The top part has 2 hot pink peonies and has stephanotis dotted around the side all resting is moss.Would be great display piece at home too after the wedding!

I had an holy communion order that is way past overdue in mailing out for my cousins niece! This is fist attempt at one.My mother and sister are great experts at this and I do remember my mother often making them even while I was young so I had a some idea on how to do and after several "discussions" here is what turned out.It not pretty easy if it needs to come out neat:-)

The wreath has mini gardenia and stephanotis with pearl centers and I added some stamen filler.I am debating to add more fillers or not? Teresa hope you like and thank you for your patience:-)I was not sure on the head measurement and so I added a ribbon tie on the back so you can adjust it according to the head measurement.

Sunny had ordered some paper cake flowers to go along with some large paper flowers.These are made from just white paper! She sent me a gorgeous wedding cake inspiration and I created my take on them -hope it did justice! It took a lot of reworking and hence the delay to figure things out as I have never thought of making them out of white paper so this was a exciting challenge -I am pretty thrilled on my new paper gardenias and the more contemporary paper flowers for this order! I had an order a while back for a stephanotis bouquet.The brides is having a destination cruise wedding and the wedding ceremony is going to be on a beach! The bride opted for naturally a turquoise blue ribbon wrap.The stephanotis wedding bouquet are so versatile and amazingly sturdy and they are just perfect for a destination wedding and what more you get to keep it after the wedding and display it at home.The bridesmaids to get amazing keepsakes of the the day unlike fresh flowers.The brides ordered gardenia hair flowers too for the 3 of them and the groom and father get a stephanotis boutonierre.

IThe flowers are looking quite pretty and I cant hardly wait to get pictures back from the wedding :-)

These flowers are soo time consumingly handcrafted (no cutter etc!) and sometimes teach you a lesson on patience:-)

I had an order for a forget me not wedding hair band and since I had not tried I thought why not give it a try and here is how it came out.I have been behind on orders and trying to get ahead and have lots of mailing this week.The forget me nots are soo labor intensive and it took me a long time to get everything together.

The flowers are attached to a hair band and I found it works both way on the right and left.

I do hope everyone will be inspired to petition him even for things that you think are quite impossible at this point in your life!

THE VISION OF ST. GERTRUDE

Once, on the Feast of the Annunciation, St. Gertrude had a vision during which the Heavenly Mother revealed to her the glory of her spouse, St. Joseph, in order to awaken in the Saint a greater love for him and to encourage her to have confidence in his intercession.

Of this vision St. Gertrude wrote:

"I saw Heaven opened and St. Joseph sitting upon a magnificent throne. I felt myself wonderfully affected when, each time his name was mentioned, all the Saints made a profound inclination toward him, showing by the serenity and sweetness of their looks that they rejoiced with him on account of his exalted dignity."

There are three reasons why St. Joseph is the special patron of the dying:

1) He is the foster father of the Eternal Judge, Who can refuse him no request.
2) He is terrible to the demons; the Church calls him
the Terror of demons and Conqueror of Hell.
3) His own death was most beautiful, for he died in the arms
of Jesus and Mary; this is the principal reason why he is the
patron of a happy death; the death no other Saint was so happy,
so glorious. St. Francis de Sales was of the opinion that
St. Joseph died of the love of God; St. Alphonsus Liguori
considered this most reasonable.

Ven. Mary of Agreda says that before his death St Joseph experienced a rapture during which he beheld the Divine Essence,The Face od God,His Glory,which Moses had in vain asked to see(Ex33:18,20)

Chanel show inspired huge large white paper flowers backdrop

I am sure everyone by now have seen the grand fashion show that Chanel did last year(?) with large paper flowers that are huge as backdrops.After that a huge resurgence in interest for paper flowers seem to have happened and I have been often requested to make these and I have quite clearly avoided them due to the lack of time and the labor involved in making them and ofcourse how cumbersome they are to ship..

this time the enquiry came all the way from Kuwait and my client sent me the same kind of huge paper flowers and I rethought and thought I should give it a shot..Here is a 2 feet yes 2 feet! across flower I made..The flower is made from white paper

and there are 2 leaves attached.These would look lovely in wedding photo booth backdrop,photo shoots for products,window displays for shops fronts etc..

Another new creation I came up with - a pomander ball for a flower girl -I had this ball that I have kept thinking I need to do something about and finally everything came together and I have created a new unique design that is sure to be a best seller! I found this super cute bird that will come close 2nd to my white birds! They are limited edition and I wanted to create somehtign fun and new with them..

I have here created a pomander for a flower girl using a moss ball and 2 of my cutest blue bird I have ever found! The ball is held by a pink martha stewart ribbon.On the top roost 2 blue birds and I have attached pink handmade stephanotis and spotted guinea feathers.The ball is gorgeous and would be great photo op for the flower girl.It would be great for a garden wedding.

This would be perfect for a garden wedding!Custom requests are welcome!

Handmade Forget me nots wedding cake topper bird nest in blue

I used some my all time favorite forget me nots -(the flowers are so intricately made that it take loads of time to finish them) in my bird nest (which btw is also handmade) for a blue wedding cake topper.This would be gorgeous a top a cake for a garden wedding! Seprate bunches of forget me nots can be ordered.What more I can totally see this resting somewhere special after the wedding as lasting memories of the day!

I had an order of orange blossoms and I thought I will arrange it on cake to see how it looks? I could quite arrange it nicely as I can't poke a hole into the dummy cakes but I think it will look very well.

first anniversary gift for Lee

Lee had ordered a first anniversary gift for his new bride and sent me these wonderful pictures of his lovely bride holding this gorgeous bouquet.

On close examinations I found it contained freesias,peonies,dahlias,orchids,roses.
I was thrilled to do this as most of the flowers are pretty new to me and I just fell in love with the combination and here is whhat I tried to make :-) hope I did justice to the bouquet.

Lee was absolutely patient as I had been sick and having ridculous issues with my eyes - I have been back up -anyway thank you so much for your patience and hope your wife will like it!

fall wedding flowers!!!

Fall weddings are beautiful with the gorgeous color scheme - Jayne had ordered a fall wedding bouquets for herself and the bridesmaids for her Oct 10th wedding.She is allergic to flowers!! She had initially enquired for a garland for the chuppah and I totally jumped at the chance to create one for her..

The wedding bouquet has orange paper lilies,sangria dahlias,red roses and yellow ranunculus.I added a few green fillers,the bridesmaids are wearing this dress.

The bridesmaids get these bouquet -mix of all the flowers.The corsages has a lily,a rose and ranunculus.The men wear orange paper rose boutonierres!!

AND FINALLY here is the master piece -(I am dreading packing this) the Garland,I went WAY more than them budget but anyway hope it is beautiful enough for the wedding-oh how I would love to get a picture of this on the chuppah :-))

on a side note -the silver vase arrangement is for mediabrandsww for their first anniversary!

The garland consist of large paper roses in sangria,orange large dahlias(a new additon btw) and pops of yellow and red all tied in with dried green salal leaves a total of 10 feet in length.A labor of love..I think it going to be first of many orders to come..imagien other color scheme.I was thinking Jayne can easily take this off the chuppah and use it as a garland to decorate the bride and groom table..

I had an order for a wedding bouquet using feather in all the bouquet.The colors the bride requested were gorgoeus! a bright orange and fushia and a pop of yellow with white feathers here is how it turned out.

The bridesmaids bouquets contian fushia dahlias,orange calla lilies,and white goose feathers and some dried yellow fillers for the yellow.The handle is wrapped in white and has a pop of pink to it.

The wedding party has a similiar flower in the corsages and the groomsmen get fushia roses and a stephanotis with feathers.

Kiara had ordered her wedding bouquet a few months ago and she requested hellebores,now this was my first time and it took me "quite" a while to get the idea on how make these gorgeous flowers!! The center are painstakingly made and it took me some time to get atleast close to the hellebores.. Her colors are purple and I have used all colors of purple on me plus handshaded some to get purple and burgundy tints on the flowers.
Some of the colors have not come quite clearily on this maybe becoz I shot it this eve..

The bridesmaids hold a mix of ivory and white paper roses,anemone and carnations.

Natalie's wedding order of a tulip wedding bouquet is finally over.Here is the final pictures of the bouquet with boutonierres for the dads.The mothers get these wonderful beaded wristlets with gorgeous ranunculus and hydrangeas in them,they will be a wonderful keepsake of the wedding as the clay flowers last a very very long time.The groom gets a ranunculus and stephanotis boutonierre with a leaf.

Natalie had ordered a tulip wedding bouuqet for her wedding in Sept (I have 2 brides having the same wedding date!!) Here are the progress pictures for Natalie.
The bouquet has these white tulips whose centers are painstaking made!!It has green
hydrangeas,offwhite ranunculus and white stephanotis with pearl centers.

I am debating if I need to add the leaves or not?

I am receiving many enquiries to which I am unable to reply to ,I am head over heels in work trying to finish up everything as fast as my hand can make them :-) and make them as beautiful as I can.
